Pole vault camp this summer 2011 (MI)

Come learn how to fly like a falcon at East Kentwood's 12th annual pole vault camp.Presented by Coach David Emeott.
East kentwood and falcon vault camps have been hosting Camps and clinics for 12 years and this year promises to one of your best years ever.The camp Director,Dave Emeott has been coaching pole vault for 17 years and has many successful athletes on the local sate and national level. EK has had 3 girls vault 12'+ and 4 boys over 15'. and Many current and former college vaulters also provide instruction at are camps. Campers include past,current future champion vaulters.

LOCATION
6230 Kalamazoo Avenue Southeast, Kentwood -MI(Stadium)

Division 1, July 19th-July 22nd .2011 Tuesday through Friday 9:00a.m. untill noon (D1 Is for vaulter that have jumped higher than 8' for girls and 10' for boys.

Division 2, July 19th-July 22nd .2011 Tuesday through Friday 1p.m. until 4p.m. (D2 Is for vaulter that have jumped higher than 8'6" for girls and 10'6" for boys.

COST
Vaulters(ages 12 and up) $170 if received before July 10th.$ 195 if received after July 10th Camp includes instruction and T-shirt.

PARENTS AND COACHES FREE!!

What TO BRING
Poles,Shoes,Shorts,Sweats,Swim Suit (for girls a one piece),towel,helmet if needed,tape,and sunscreen

LEARN NEW WAYS TO PRACTICE:
-Rope vaulting
-Gymnastics
-Sand pit vaulting
-speed and strength

Each camp is focused on improving pole vaulting techniques,from the basic to the advanced. Other topics include:
-Training(in and out of season)
-Goal setting
-safety
-pole selection
-Meet preparation

learn how to improve your vault through easy to learn drills and expert instruction.
-sliding box
-speed drills
strength training
sport specific gymnastics
pool Vaulting(bring a one piece Bathing Suit)
