Re: jordan- roundout invite
Great jumps! I had seen the one from NB Indoor, but not the new video. Your coach must be nervous having you open at 13'!
Also funny that your standards are at 78cm...that tells me that you are into precision!
The only real problem I see is a pole drop that's just slightly early, causing you to carry it horizontal for a few steps before the plant. This makes your hands drop down (slower plant), pulls you out of posture a little (backward lean and longer steps), and makes it harder to accelerate into a jumping takeoff. Delay the pole drop a bit. Practice it in your pole runs and feel how you can make the pole weightless if you drop it perfectly (start 6 steps out).
Good luck this season! Keep putting up video

Re: jordan- roundout invite
ok. thanks. i can see that from the rondout invite that i drop the pole early, causing me to plant slower and lean back, but when i looked at the nationals video, it seemed that after i hit my mid mark after a few steps i paued. then when i got closer to the box i dropped the pole down a little quicker. my coach st. lawrence and i ahve benn working on the pole drop problem ... along with trying to get on a few bigger poles.....

You are way too athletic!
When you carry the pole you lose control of the weight of the pole and it drops too early. As your start your plant it looksl ike the pole is falling right through your left hand. The bottom hand should never be lower than the bottom elbow through out the run and plant. After you fix that it should help you be able to jump up and extend a little better, you are kind of just running into the pole in the outdoor videos.
