Pole Size question
Pole Size question
In practice i jumped 14' on 4 lefts with a 14'170 spirit but at meets when i go to 7 lefts my pr is 14'6 with a 15' 175 do you think i should move to a 14'6 go on a bigger 14 or smaller 15?

In the meet, where are your standards? How high are you gripping on the 15' pole? What happens at the height you go out at? What poles do you have available?

standards were i think 24 i hold at the top under the label i turn late dont get fully inverted on the 15' but can on the 14' and alot of poles between 14-15

The best thing you could do is work back one left at a time instead of going from 4 lefts to 7. If your technique is good from 4, take it back to 5 and work on it there until you have good technique and you should be on a few poles bigger, either a bigger 14' pole or a 14'6 pole. When that is good take it back to 6, until it gets better there.
It's early in the season. Go from shorter runs and get your technique down so that you are jumping higher at the end of the season when it counts.
