second meet of the season, thoughts?

Unread postby Thats.What.She.Said » Thu Apr 08, 2010 11:21 pm

Today was the second meet of the season, but it was also probably one of the most competitive regular season meets. I got 10 feet for the first time since the middle of the summer, and I am so happy to be back up there. But alas, I also know that I am far from perfect, and would like some advice since i cant get much from the coaches at my school. So anyways, here's the video, and i tried to put all the info in the video, the last 2 jumps dont have titles though, so you have to look at the info for them...or just know that they are 10'3" jumps on a 12' 125 lady rocket with the standards at 65. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLsUzHKprMI umm yeahhh just ask if you need anything more. k thnx :)

I'd start the meet with your grip a few inches lower and the standards farther back, then once you are warmer and running faster, start raising the grip an inch or two at a time.
