hey im a freshman and im using a 130 12'6 pacer. I shudder when i see this video because my form looks terrible. What am I doing wrong? I heard from a coach my hips go forward and i curl up in a ball as soon as i plant. Anything you see would be apprectiated. Sorry for the bad quality. Thanks

PP, that doesn't help him. Tell him your opinion of how to properly carry and drop the pole correctly; or at least where to find a reliable source of this information. -6P

Re: freshman vaulting
very nice natural takeoff
now just keep the trail leg as straight as possible and sweep it to your hands and extend upside down

Pole up high (~70 degrees) at the start of the run, gradually (controlled) dropping throughout approach, drop quickens during the last 3 (6) steps as plant occurs. Watch some video of practically anybody over 5.80m!
