An improvement on the swing?

Unread postby IAmTheWalrus » Thu Mar 11, 2010 6:28 pm

Here is a recent vault from 4 lefts where I felt like I had a really good swing. I think the takeoff was really low and crappy, but I just wanted to make sure the swing is more or less what I'm shooting for before I start trying to make the same changes from a longer run.

here is the jump

and for reference here is my last posted 4 left jump

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tri8LCMaMoo

both are on a 15' 170 holding 13'7
the bungee is at 15'6 in the first jump and 15' in the second

Thanks for the help.

Here's another, I think its a better takeoff, but not as good of a swing.

I'm just trying to make sure I'm on the right track. Thanks!

As always it looks good. I would say it's time to get to 7 and 8 lefts, you can jump high with your tecknique now is the time to perfect it from a long run.

Biggest problem is a flat take off because you are falling into the pole at take off.

Your last two steps are long. This is causing you to lunge into the pole instead of jump up. Everything you are trying to do in the air is in the ballpark - just got to learn to jump off the ground with good posture.
