Actually I think increase in over all muscle size puts you more at risk for injuries, especially in sports like football.

yeah u just made it sound like a 6' 155 bean pole is less likely to get hurt playing football than a 6' 220lb running back that can plow through defenders...

stronger muscles are always a plus no matter what.. bigger is not always better but there is an ideal body size where you can maximize your strength to weight ratio.
