Adam is still vaulting. He was finishing up some stuff for his degree in alaska this summer. He will be training at UG again this year.

Adam actually is not all that fast, but he is a reallly good gymnast. He has excellent body awareness and is not hesitant to bail if he needs too. When he jumped 5.30 in HS he was gripping 4.40, which equals 110cm push off. Now i'm not saying this makes him a technical model, but obviously he must be doing some things right. the 5.30 video link is below

if he could fix the take off angle more than anything, he clearly has the ability to be a 5.50 plus vaulter. Ive watched him get robbed at 5.42 from 6 lefts

i think some of the obvious pluses are that he has great chest drive, no block with the bottom arm, and swings very well on the pole. lets also not forget that shorter vaulters will almost always have the top of the pole down for a few instants. take a look at video of scott roth, or spencer mccorkel (also smaller vaulters)

i still feel, despite so drawbacks, he well still one of the greatest high school technicians, of all time. And had one of the best swings (despite tucking, after reaching the cord of the pole) in all of high school, and he's up there, in college, too! I mean, there's obviously some drawbacks, which most vaulters have, and I have to admit, that i used to kind of use bits of his vault as a model too (but really just his bottom arm and swing, which are pretty damn perfect in my eyes). -6P
