yeah, pole vaulters are great some great peoples (yes i ment to spell it that way :). I met soooo many people through pole vaulting. it's competitive yet everyone helps eachother out and it's great cause even if you have a bad day, if someone gets a pr you still get excited for them. everyone is always offering eachother tips and advice and even coaches are really friendly and outgoing.

lol, pole vualters are so great we have groupies, lol....last season one of my friend (who was a thrower) was always around the vault pit...we always called him our "honarary vaulter"....he knows about it and stuff from me telling him and all, so it's cool....i mean what other sport has groupies....(yes, i'm aware he was a guy groupie, but still, it's the point of the matter)
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

At school, they always announce about the previous track meets and who did good and whatever, if someone runs really well, no one says much but if a pole vaulter breaks a record or wins a meet, it's the talk of the day.
