The simple answer: You're not swinging properly.
The turn is natural if you do everything else smoothly enough.

i'm a righty vaulter.. so when refering to swing you mean "right leg up almost 90 degrees, left leg hanging down then swing with the pole" correct? cause i try not to tuck but i feel as if i do get a swing but tuck early?

I underlined the key words in your post.
I suspect that "turning" isn't your root problem ... it's the "good block" that you refer to.
What's your definition of a GOOD block?

You dont block in the pole vault. If you do, it will BLOCK your whole body from going upside down. Push your hands UP, but not hard. Your bottom arm should not be straight, but it shouldnt be in your face either. Keep your hands there when you swing.
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph

i dont know exactly how to describe the block because the ways i'm trying to are terrible form but heres what i got for ya.. handhold about a forearm apart, pushing the pole and getting the bend back from it.. pretty much what happens between take off and inversion

Mmm, pretty much what should happen in a tuck and shoot vault... But even in that largely undocumented (and technically inferior) model, there is a SWING.
Watch Bubka in slo-mo on stabhoch for a little while. If you still think he's doing what you're trying to do, I'll be amazed.

I noticed that you said you lose all of it whenever the pole recoils. What i have noticed on some vaulters is that whenever they "block" with their left arm and try to complete the vault, it actually works against the recoil of the pole and slows it down. Blocking would also explain why you are having difficulty turning.
