Yes, you are about that guy still living. Actually, that clip is the most played clip ever on television. Every episode of ABC's wide world of sports at least twice per episode since before I was born.

Can we please stop bashing our athletes and the athletes of other countries, especially pole vaulters. It seems like human nature to be negative about these things. Those that cheat will inevitably pay for their actions, but the majority, especially the youth need positive statements published so that we don't lose our beloved sport.

THANK GOD they finally busted Regina Jacobs! I've believed she was on something for years. Come on pulled out of the Olympics and World Champs with "illness" then runs 3:59 in FEBRUARY at age 40 and craps out at Worlds this year. Plus the fact that no women could look like her without being on something.

Was she a bit threatening to you ZACK smile :)

Too Masculine for me too? :D

I see the female body builders and I am not turned on.

There is this girl that works out at the club and she is a body builder, the club got on to her for wearing a suit that was to revealing one day (a T back over very thin tights), I thought she was going to pick the manager up and thrrow him out the door. LOL.

I am glad that the female pole vaulters look like women. Mel Muelller has some looks that are a bit mascline (not like the body builders), but in her pose for the http://www.vaultgirls.com calendar she looks very FEM and very attractive to this dirty OLD man .
I love the PV, it is in my DNA

With the old ideas of the eastern block, it does make you wonder about these russian female vaulters that have exploded onto the vaulting scene...and the top spots on the podium! :dazed: Just a thought.....

I also wonder if there is more drug use in the women's pole vault right now than the men's! I am not particularly talking about the US girls (though I doubt we are immune), I just mean overall. :dazed:

Countries go where there ambitions do. Whether it's enriching uranium or finding enhancements for their athletes. My guess is the Cold War was fought on many fronts and a great deal of that technology still exists.

Anybody see "Golden Girl" in the 80's? Interesting movie concept . . . ;)
A female athlete gets "enhanced" using a combination of gene selection and steroid type technology from East Germany during the cold war era.

I should have said no woman distance runner should look like her. Unless maybe she spends more lifting then running. Still she looks like she has less body fat then some male runners.

I think the athletes that are most likely to take steroids are the ones who haven't quite reached "the next level".

I dunno. Unless they happen to be loaded, I am sure most of them cannot afford something like THG.

Drug

Maybe that's how they got to that level...and maybe it's not as expensive as you think.....think economics...can't sell something on as wide a scale as it sounds that is too expensive for only a few to afford!

Only a few in track and field can afford it... I would imagine just about any athlete in the NBA, NFL, or MLB can afford it.
