Just curious, not really planning on moving back.
Currently going from a 5-lefts, and loving it actually.
I would like to know when I should be getting ready to move my step back. I blow through all my poles from 5...
When to move back?

If you don't have any bigger poles, moving back won't help!

Once you've got your current run under control, have controllable (after a lot of practice) speed that's not being used, have the time to master the new 'feel' of the run (probably not during a season), and have equipment that can accomodate you and your new run.

Re: When to move back?
My next pole should be a 13' 145.
After that we only have 14' poles. When I get on these would it also be a good time to move back?

Re: When to move back?
hey
move back and start using the 14 35..14 40...
what is the length of your 5 left and your 6 step "MID"?
run back from your current 6 step, 3 l3ft mid... your first run from the longer steps should be on the track.. and with the same pole and grip from your last jump from 5.. that will let you “test’ the new run and if your speed is correct, your grip should start to move up and your "MID" should move out accordingly..
but be sure to never reach and over stride...

Re: When to move back?
How would I get my MID from 5 lefts?
I haven't tried going from long approaches because I didn't have to, and I still don't have a reason to either, but the next poles are much longer and would require more speed right?
I will take my 6 step MID on Monday I wanna say...but Tuesday seems more likely.

Don't work your run around your poles, work your poles around your run.

hello
your 6 step (3 left) "MID" for your 5 left run should be your second left from the start..
