Ok, so I have been looking around at buying some poles, i was just wondering what everyone's opinion of essx poles are. What other poles are they most similar to? Do you recomend them? Just your general review of the pole.
I am a new vaulter, i know that buying carbonfx poles right of the bat would be a kind of waste. All the guys i vault with say that UCS is the way to go.
Here are my stats incase any body wants them.
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 177 lbs
Usual pole: 14' 165 Skypole
Grip: 13'3"
Vaulting for 2 months
I usually get over 12-13' bungee in practice.

Re: Opinion of Essx poles
There must be dozens of topics on here about pole brands. Use the search button.
No, not necessarily. They're not for 'super vaulters' only like many new vaulters might think... They're just made differently and behave differently. They even aren't much more expensive (if at all more expensive).

Yes I recommend ESSX. They are all my vaulters use and they are great.
Re: Opinion of Essx poles
My son has never jumped on anything but ESSX poles. Never a problem moveing from pole to pole and thats over 30 poles.
I would recomend them to any one and I know Bruce would be more than happy to answer any questions you would have.

Re: Opinion of Essx poles
Essx poles are excellent, I would strongly recommend them to anyone! Bruce will take care of you and figure out exactly what poles you need, even if thats different from what you THINK you need. I have personally owned 7 Essx poles so far, all of which are outgrown by now but it is very easy to transition from pole to pole and I think they are pretty darn lightweight compared to other poles.
What have you done today to get better?
Re: Opinion of Essx poles
I would strongly recomend Essx poles I walked in Told Bruce what my vaulter was on and what he was doing and he fixed me up with two poles in progression, I carried them back to west texas and they were perfect. Bruce really cares about the sport.

Re: Opinion of Essx poles
I used to vault on Essx poles, somewhere around 4 years ago. I was just starting out and it was great. I currently use a UCS, and it's good too. My memory isn't quite sharp enough to compare them, but either pole would be a good way to go.
