Morgann LeLeux (Catholic, New Iberia, La.) Indoor Track
LeLeux, a sophomore who broke the national freshman pole vault record last spring after just missing the indoor mark in the winter, showed she's ready to take her prowess to a new level at the LSU Classic. Her 13-02.50 clearance is the best mark in the country so far and only Shade Weygandt has ever vaulted higher as a sophomore.

Jack Whitt (Norman North, Norman, Okla.) Indoor Track
After a junior year where he often pole vaulted in the high 16-foot range, Whitt finally hit the 17-00 mark at the Reno Vault Summit, then followed it up with his second major win last weekend at the Arkansas Invite, clearing 16-04. Many thought Whitt went 17-02.75 last year, but that was a mark he was erroneously credited with by meet officials at the USATF Junior Olympics, where he actually won in a jumpoff at 16-08.75.
