New Windsor's Adrienn LaChance won the open pole vault at the Gotham Cup, held Friday at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York.
LaChance cleared 12 feet, 7 1/4 inches. That was the nation's third-highest height cleared by a high school age vaulter this indoor season, according to coach Tim St. Lawrence.
LaChance competed against college-age athletes as a member of the Hudson Valley Flying Circus club team. She is a junior at Cornwall High School.
