New pole problems

New pole problems

I am a highschool sophmore without a coach and have been jumping on a 12 foot ucs spirit holding the back of the pole clearing 10' 6" and i tried to switch to a 13 1" ucs spirit and i have been having problems penetrating the pit. I sometimes will have the pole unbend and me be sitting on top of a 13 foot un bent pole with no where to go. i deffinantly am getting enough speed and am not slowing down . What could be a problem here?

did you go straight to holding the top of the 13'1?

yea i saw it accomplishing nothing if i had a 12 foot grip on it when i could just use a 12 foot pole and have a 12 foot grip on it so i jumped right to the back of it maybe 3 inches form the end
