Results and Reports

Unread postby Bubba PV » Thu Jan 01, 2009 5:33 pm

I'm not getting to come this year so I was hoping someone will give us some reports. Every odd year, in addition to USATF Masters Indoors and Outdoors, we have National Senior Games (Stanford) and World Masters Champs (Finland), so the budget requires skipping Reno. Actually, this year is also World Masters Games (every four years), this time in Sydney – 25,000+ athletes in 28 sports. We’ll get to vault in the Olympic Stadium.

ANYWAY – it’s VERY tough not being there so thanks for any info or updates. Bubba

Women - Johnson and Murer clear 14 7 1/4. Johnson wins on misses. Men - 17 8 - gensic, mack, pvp's brian, neidermeyer over. Quiller passed. Darren makes 18 on his 1st.
Fight the good fight: It's nice to be great but it's far greater to be nice.

Hey Bubba, you know that Altendorf guy didn't go this year, he wasn't ready to vault... ;)

I officiated an open pit and they stuck two 38-year-old guys on it. I forget the last names but Edward went 5.00 meters and Paul went... 4.65 maybe?

They should have results up within the next few days. They were typing them all up there, but I did not look at any of the results sheets all day, except the pit I was officiating.

If they get them up in a few days, that would be a first. As I recall, it has taken them several weeks.

What was the turn out like compared to past years? The timing and the economy must have impacted attendance.
