I agree with SuperPipe...

I had the same condition. I am going to repeat what I have said on here before: braces and bands just cover up the problem.

I completely got rid of my tendonitis in three weeks with a strict regiment of stretching the quadricep of the leg that hurts, ice and anti-inflammatories to speed the process along. Heat-stretch-ice-with ibuprofen in your system. Every day.

Wearing a band to make it feel better is like using cortizone to "heal" a broken ankle.

Yeah...the band does just cover it up, seeing as I've been using that for a while and it helps but still.
Its not bad enough that I need ibuprofen, though I did take some before a race, just in case. [I ran XC.]
So the basic view is: Stretching and icing.
Ok...I'll keep doing that, since that's what my coach told me and that's what I've been doing.
