Well, I got to the Maine coast last night for our annual vacation and just finished this outstanding book tonight. WOW!!! Great story told by a great author. Incredible journey and tremendous mental and physical discipline of Tim, and "B"'s input was invaluable. I was really moved by this story.

I remember in the mid 90s when Tim visited our place at UC Irvine with Dave Johnston (DJ). I thought he looked pretty good but Mike Tully said to me, "Tim won't ever be a great vaulter until he fixes his run". I thought that was his strength but in the brilliant minds of guys like Tully, DJ, and "B", they were seeing the future 10 years in advance.

This is a must read for any of us who have had goals that no one else believed in. What a remarkable story of a dream come true. Enjoy. Bubba

I just finished reading this book and it is a great insight as to what it takes to be an elite vaulter. Every vaulter should read this book. Buy it now or put it on your holiday wish lists!

B is a great person and even greater coach and "Livy" should certainly be adopted by our brotherhood. They have added a lot to my year with this effort. Reading the excerpts have caused me to pull my copy of "Above and Beyond" on my shelf for another read. Looking forward to it, as is my brother (former 5.30m), who will get a copy for Christmas. PS - I was fortunate enough last year to be on the same 1 AM flight through Houston with B. What a wonderful experience. I don't mind being out of my league with a guy like that.
