Maybe It's that box camera getting in the way..

What is the first tie-breaker..total misses or misses at the previous height?

Nah, the box camera is not actually _in_ the box.

The vaulters are tied on both tie breakers: http://www.nbcolympics.com/trackandfiel ... index.html

Misses at the final clearance height are the first tie breaker

Lest we forget, the vault is still on. They'll jump at 5.90m. Hooker misses on his first attempt; Lukyanenko did earlier. Yurchenko, as expected, still passes. He may attempt the gold medal height just to roll the dice, with the bronze secure.

Second miss for Hooker. Both vaulters appear exhausted; a jump-off will be rough.
22:16
Lukyanenko has a second miss now. Hooker on his second attempt next. They will have to jump off if neither clears.

Lukyanenko was close but missed on his third attempt at 5.90m. Hooker could have a gold-medal jump - or they could jump off.
