I suppose it's a coincidence that you and 30 year joined on the same day. March 17. Of course you would agree. Egg on your face.....I knew that pointed out the 4.45 would bring you out. Must be lonely up there in New York. Oh, I mean..... Colorado or is it New York? The point is there was not need to defend Jenn. We all have seen what she can do.

That's all.....

big10jumper wrote:I mostly disagree with 30years except for being right that pole vault meets should count seperatly than all out track and field meets. People are missing the point, he was referring to inflated marks from pole vault competitions or drastic p.r.'s. Not just this week...ever week.

Bad example using stuczinski at 4.45. Apparently what happened there is she was contracted as a promotion for a track club to go and jump a bar in which she jumped one height and then stopped jumping. Now had she jumped 5.10 in that meet then it would be questionable.

lets go back to original post stacey 4.55....let my intentions be clear.I mostly disagree with 30yrs.coaching.Stacey is the greatest american pver ever.jenn s is a little over rated.I don't say that in a bad way but she is not as dominate as some think.sorry 30yrs! but i do agree that it is harder to jump a hieght in a track meet than a pole vault competition.I in no way was referring to stacey, she can do 4.55 in her sleep.as for vaultlove its all ok,don't worry so much about the us women, russia will probable go 1,2,3 in the womens vault.and its originaly cali and now cali.

Why did Asay pass her 3rd? I hope she didn't get injured.

Back to Jenn's result..which is now a little off topic. She wasn't the only one competing..and there wasn't anything questionable.

VaulterJim,

Thanks for the results. There are always sketchy meets put together. We as fans, don't know which marks are true to their word.

Erin was having problems with her back and pulled out of the meet. It looked like she was in a lot of pain.

I disagree with Big 10 Jumper. First off...Stacy Dragila will aways hold a special place in the PV world being the first dominant female vaulter...and the first Olympic Gold winner. I saw Jenn jump on TV, and she clearly was jumping at a level no other American woman could compete with. She's also currently the only other female vautler who can out-jump Isenbeyeva. She has the highest American PR and awesome technique, so everyone's talking about her. Her story can back up all the hype, so how is that being over rated?

It's alright big10jumper i agree with you. Over rated. I don't need to defend that statement because its my opinion. if you don't like too bad for you.
