New Pole

Unread postby thecarney91 » Sun Jun 01, 2008 8:41 pm

I currently have a 13 foot 175 Skypole and I am blowing through with it and I'm looking for a new pole to get and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I am 6'3 and weigh 165 pounds if that helps

It depends... how high are you jumping and where are you holding? You will either need a stiffer or longer pole, or both.

Get a 13' 185. With your hieght, you will probably blow through that too. I would normally wait before raising your grip, but you might go with a 13'6 185 after that, and once you jump 13'6" holding no higher than 13'-13'3" you should raise your grip. If you raise your grip too fast you end up not learning how swing correctly to get push off the top.
