I got an adrenaline rush when it said he would be at Nike Outdoor. Then i thought.... crap, im gonna get beat by someone who lives farther in the woods than i do, lol.

I played a pretty good april fools joke on my mom. I came in from school today limping, shes says "whats wrong? why are you limping?"

me: "I had an accident, i came up short on the pit and landed on the runway, i have a stress fracture in my right ankle. Trainer says its pretty bad but she will look at it more tomorrow"

mom: "Oh no, how long are you out?"

Me: "the trainer says 5 weeks, but im going to try to vault tomorrow, its
april 1st theres no time to be hurt"

Mom: "No we will take you in to really get it looked at"

Me: "We cant mom its april 1st!! dont you know what that means? April fools!"
The greater the challenge, the more glorious the triumph

What do you mean April Fools?!
Though I'm pretty sure I would have heard about this guy if it was true, the rest about organic foods and people being "off-the-grid" is DEFINITELY not a joke in Ithaca! :dazed:

It got me at first, but then I was thinking, there is no way that he would be unheard of until now, and at only 16 years old, i mean come on... 18 feet is a little much eh?

I believed it at first until I heard jumping over the fence to jump, no one in their right mind would jump a fence to jump unsupervised with the possiblity of getting hurt, and only having one pole much less a pole that is 17 feet at the age of 16-17. Last olympics wasn't Toby using the longest pole at 17 feet? great 5 minutes of entertainment tho. does this kid really exist? not the jumping part but just the kid in general

you honestly wouldn't do that? i probably wouldn't think twice about jumping a fence to go vault. i definately wouldn't be using a 17 foot pole but...
