Okay, HS soph girl with 2 years experience. Holding 11'9" on a 12' 130lb pole.
My advice has been to continue working on closing the gap (shins to hands) and initiate her rotation around the pole sooner so her hips are ll to the ground as she goes over. But, I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. Would appreciate input from the local cognoscenti.

Taking-off under doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a deep landing. Besides, it doesn't look too pronounced like in Okkert Brits' jumps:

If you get her using a free take-off, then I can almost guarantee she'll be be blowing through like crazy and able to move up poles and maybe a foot or so in her jump. A lot of energy is lost by having a loaded take-off, especially when there isn't all that much speed in the run or force in the jump; Okkert was incredibly strong, but he could have jumped higher than he did if he didn't cannon vault. She defintely isn't as strong as Okkert, but she'll benefit just as much!

Not only is she taking off under, which can be cured in many cases by beginning an earlier pole drop, she is also turning away from the pole and not around it. After the swing is completed (which can be improved upon by having a more exaggerated drive knee) the toes should be not be pointed but rather pulled toward the vaulter, via flexion of the Tibialis Anterior. This will cause the vaulters legs to stay close to the pole during the pull turn instead of going out and over the cross bar during the turn. If you are able to fix the take off, read the thread "Why the plant is late" by agapit, the amount of time the pole is bent will be longer allowing her more time to swing through the chord of the pole and begin initiating the pull turn.
