14'1 160 Spirit flex range
Does anyone know the flex range for a 14'1 Spirit 160 lb pole?

Use the search feature here...it's a great tool and theres hundreds of topics on flex numbers. But basically, it's how companies base the flexibility of their poles. The higher the number, the softer the pole. For example a 14' 160 might be anywhere from a 19.0-19.9, but a 14' with a 18.9 is no longer a 160. It might now be called a 165. Theres plenty who can explain this much better than I can.

AR01: Although they are related, the flex number is still quite independent of the weight! One should not use a flex number to determine the weight it could hold; the weight label should. A lot of PVC has acceptable flex numbers for some common poles, but would you jump on those? (I certainly hope not...)
