Dates For Reno 2004 - Different from last year!!

So the dates are earlier than last year, and last I heard it is still not going to count for NCAA qualifying.

This is a must for the vaulters and coaches. Steve, Lane and Coach Fraley put on a great arena of who’s who in the PV and for those who cannot get enough PV this is where you will be satisfied.
THIS IS GOOD FOR THE POLE VAULT COMMUNITY
WHY do I as a competitor to UCS say this, because these guys have worked very hard to provide something educationally good for the vaulting community? It is a great place to learn about vaulting safer, a place to learn new ideas and training techniques.

We recommend this as the place to go for all Vaulting enthusiasts

does anyone else think reno is going to be quite a bit smaller this year? Many college students will be on Winter break during the weekend of the summit , or just getting back to school. And also many schools will not send their vaulters because it is not recognized by the NCAA. I can see many coaches saving their money for another meet where it is NCAA eligible. Any other opinions?

Yes I think it will be smaller. What college track coach would want to shell out the money to send their kids to a meet where it won't count? If indoors had a regional format, this would not matter as much, but since it is still based on qualifiers, I think most top college athletes won't waste a good meet.

I'll be there though I'd go even if I wasn't jumping, and it is not like I am likely to be hitting too many qualifiers. I am going to miss the first 2 days of class, but that actually works out better because all teachers ever do on the first day is hand out the syllabus and talk about what we are going to do that semester.
