Bubba PV wrote:I jumped at his (Kris') new indoor place last Friday. WOW!! Lots of space. It's got a throwing ring, long jump set up, weights, bunks, etc. He's got the old UT runway and it's pretty dang fast and solid. Doors on each end like Earl's too. See you there! Kick butt until then!! Bubba

I didn't know you were here last Friday and jumped in the building!! I think that was the only day last week that I wasn't there!

Anyway, we'll be at the UT Invite tomorrow, so I guess we'll see if we have a surprise guest!

Just wanted to let everyone know I jumped in my first meet yesterday! Took 3 good jumps at 5.50m, but still need to fine tune some things and work on my consistency. I was always a better practice jumper.

5.50 was his opener. He always had the rep of coming in a bit too high sometimes! :P

Haha... in his blog he said he made his opening height and then passed right to 5.50... just curious what he would open at after an 8 year layoff for his first meet... but if it was actually 5.50... thats nuts!!

You are correct. I misread it. He has come in at 5.50+ in the past if that hint helps anybody figure out who it is!

I know it's not Jacob Davis when he says he was always a better practice jumper. :D He was a big time big meet jumper. Bubba

...maybe Brad Parris? D3 guy from McMurry from around 2000...? I know they are said to have good facilities, and a great pole selesction (some of the guys at La Crosse were going to borrow poles from them at one point...or at least they were talking about it..)

It would be sweet if it was... a little more D3 action to go with Grande...

...and what is Dennis Kholev up these days?
