Rachel Laurent, La. 14'!!

Rachel clears 14 feet at the Nollie Arcement Relays. The bar was then raised to 14- 1.75 in an attemp to set the outdoor mark. Her first two attemps she bailed and then on her last attempt she came very close....only a matter of time! It took awhile to set the record height then had to wait for the meet director to come to the vaulting area and verify the measurement. It took her a couple of jumps to loosen back up and on her third it was real close. She was on a 13'7" 162 Essx holding around 13-2.

wow. congrats!! I remember watching her jump last year at Junior USA's and just thinking... wow that girl is going to jump high in college, only to find out that she was only a junior! Can't wait to see what she's got in store for the rest of the season! :yes: :yes:

Why am i not suprised? You said early on this year that you wanted that 14' and were going to get it. Way to get it done! And im glad to hear it was a REAL meet and not in your backyard lol ;).
