Ive been thinking a lot about that too. Last year the progression was t0 have 4 inch increments to 17'5" for the meet record, but with 17'5"+ now being the meet record, and the national record only 2 inches away, im not sure if they will want someone to go for the national record (16'7, 16'11', 17'3, 17'7") or the meet record somewhere within 2 inches below that. Or they completely mess with it and do something totally random lol.

My guess is that they will be working backwards from a potential meet record at 4 inch increments down to 16'1" or so and 6 inches before then. This is the first year to have a championship flight, so the opening height should be around 15ish.

It's a bummer that Nico wont be out there, that would be a fun competition with all you guys pushing each other over 5.35 or so!

I think there could be more 16+ers on the podium this year than last year. Hopefully more 17'ers too!
