Rachel Laurent, La. 13'9.25"

Unread postby bayouvaulter » Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:03 pm

Rachel Laurent, Vandebilt Catholic's senior and LSU signee, jumped 13'9.25" to win the Louisana Indoor Champships. The height broke her old Div.1 mark of 12'5" by over a foot. It also set a Carl Maddox field house record. Not only for high school female vaulters but for all divisons. She was on a 14'1" 147.8 Essx flex 21.9 holding at around 13'. She had 2 very close attempts at 14".
