Top End

Unread postby pvhigh1 » Mon Jun 16, 2008 6:53 pm

I was wondering if anyone can help give me some information about my top end. I have a good plant take off but when I swing up, Im flagging off really BAD! I see my right hand and my feet when Im trying to invert but I never get totally upside down because my legs shoot down on the bar. Does anyone know of some good drill work or gymnastics that I can do to fix the inversion part of the vault? thanks! :D

There have got to be literally hundreds of posts on this forum about the top end, and all of them really come down to this: the "top end" is a phase almost completely dependent on the phases before it. So this means that there is an overwhelmingly good chance that there is a problem with your swing. Video IS always helpful.

yeah im working on uploading a video :) I have heard a lot of coaches say that I have a very good run, plant and take off. But i havent really heard anyone tell me that my swing is slow. Is it possible that I could be not swinging to inversion fast enough? Thanks for your help!
