I wouldnt want tommy to represet the US unless he could compete on the international level. look how he has done the last to times he was on a USA team. No heights, he performs well at the national level however.
i think before my days are done.

All I have to say is... Good Luck Ladies and Gentlemen, because its gonna be one hell of a battle for the first three spots. But isnt the thrid spot an alternate position? (I may be wrong so please correct me) If it were me I'd hate to go all the way to the games and sit there and watch the others compete while I sit on the bench. (although i am very good at watching... I do it alot after three misses)

no, third definately jumps. actually every place after that matters pretty heavily too. if someone gets hurt from the top 3 and wont be able to compete then 4th gets to jump in the games. in 2001 lojo was the national champ but injured himself so buller who got 4th ended up representing the us in the world championships

Then why don't you just grip high and run fast, and jump as high as him, cause I guess thats all there really is to the vault, none of that technical stuff means anything.........

try 18 foot vaulter. dude you need to chill out and figure out who the hell you're talking to before you call them out. The vaulting community is one that supports one another. So quit talking so much s***.

You're new to the board so you may not have figured out yet that people just want to talk about the vault and trade ideas in a friendly way. Why don't you just sit back and watch and figure out how things work here before you post anymore.

5.05 - 5.50 is a long way NU... Maybe more time should be spent on the track and off the computer...

and what if it was? i mean 5.05 m isnt a mark where you can come on here and start talkin down to people thinkin you are better than everyone. if you had jumped 6 m you shouldnt disrespect people were all vaulters man and why cant you show any love for anyone but eric eschbach? if hes your freind its cool but dont hate on everyone else. and didnt skipper jump like 15 6 in 8th grade? im sure he wasnt holding 15' then and runnin a 10.6 or whatever he runs

from those pictures skippers form looks like he's doing a lot better. One of them was the most upsidedown Ive ever seen him get.

I was curious as to who NU was..........I know several of their vaulters. None of them, according to the website, have a PR of 5.05.........seveal are lower and I know all the ones higher than that. Maybe hes an incoming frosh in which case we could cut him a little slack.

Actually Its 5.50, which I am not that proud of since I have been stuck at 5.45-5.35 for months, but I am working on it. If its a challenge your after, I will be jumping at San Diego State on thurs. Come on down and show me how its done.

Not to sound like a jerk, but i'm betting vaultninja probably opens at or above 5.05...just something to think about...
