PoleVaultPower.com T-Shirts Now Available

Free Shipping if ordered by January 2nd!!!

Shirts are $15. I have sizes S-XL

I have about 40 shirts sitting upstairs and I need to sell as many as I can to reduce the number that I have to take back to Georgia with me.

To order send an email to becca@polevaultpower.com and let me know what size you want and how you plan to pay. I have PayPal which would really be best, but you can mail me a check or money if you really want to.

These pics aren't very good but they show you about what they look like

It's your site and your Tshirt, Becca, but not many people are going to wear that shirt around their parents, especially girls around their dads. Your dad has no problem with it? Of the thousands of slogans you could have come up with, why must it be so ludicrously sexual? Is that the image you are hoping to protray for you and your site? I'm no prude, but I think you could have thought this through a little better. I would have been glad to buy a shirt just to thank you for your efforts on this site, but that shirt is just an embarassment. Sorry.

Shirts

Unread postby StickJumper » Mon Dec 29, 2003 8:09 pm

While shirts may not seem obscenely appropriate, it is understood that for the most part that the buyers would be people who we could consider adults. I wish you would have let me know you were gonna order shirts though Becca, I myself had lots of people inquiring as to why no one had actually put these shirts together, so I took supply and filled the demand. Then demand dropped off as soon as they were available. I ordered 50 shirts and sold maybe like 8. I hope sales go better for yourself than they did on my end. If anyone wants any of the shirts I have left, I'll sell dirt cheap, like $8 and that'll cover shipping. Hopefully, hopefully....

I am an adult, but I would not be caught wearing that around to a meet where parents will pass judgement. It just sends the wrong message about us - we're not all sex maniacs. The 'Big Pole' slogans are getting really old -we're not sophomores in HS any more where that kind of humor is regarded as funny. Time to grow up, I guess.

Stroke it to Vertical is a saying from one of my favorite coaches. It's just a joke, if you don't like it. I plan to order more shirts in the future that just say PoleVaultPower.com

I'll probably sell more in person than I will over the web. I have plenty of people who expressed interest in the Stroke it to Vertical shirts. Sorry if they offended anyone.

I don't mean to beat this topic to death, but if that coach was male, that was WAY inappropriate - again, ask yourself if you think your dad would think that it was funny that a male coach said that to YOU? If it was a female - she has other issues.

Lets not think of what other people will think, lets focus on what YOU think. Pole vaulters are INDIVIDUALS!!!!!

If we all listened to our parents and elders, then we would all be droids, and most likely not even vaulting. I know the majority of the parents that i know did not like the idea of their children vaulting because it was too dangerous. That is what makes being a kid fun. being rebellious, having fun, its not that offensive, it just makes people look twice, which, being vaulters, is the best part. Having someone say, " your a pole vaulter?!?!?! your CRAZY" That makes you feel good, your thinking, "hell ya im a vaulter!" I think becca made a good shirt based on the feedback everyone gave her and we should lay off. , i just think that becca is doing a great job hosting this site, and shes trying harder and harder to offer more.

[/b] Please, no offense to anyone.

i think its a funny shirt. one problem, where is there stroking involved in the vault? perhaps if looking for sexual innuendos while being politically, er, anatomically and physically logical, i'd put something that completely relates to the vault. maybe- put the pole in the box and penetrate, but thats almost too bad. man, vaulting has too many sexual innundoes...tsk tsk. another good one that i heard on one of the other threads, dont remember exactly who put it and im too lazy to check, is "Grip it and rip it." definitely a good aggressive quote for vaulting, which SHOULDNT have any sexual innuendos. (that would be wrong! and painful!)
doesnt seem to be too much of a problem (the shirts) seems if someones wouldnt approve, they just dont have to buy it. it think its funny, i might get one, who knows. good luck sellin 'em!

Stroke it to vertical refers to getting upside down on the pole.

Whom ever cannot accept that tee-shirt as a joke, is going to have a serious problem with life.

Like pole-vaulting, the tee-shirt isnt for everyone.

I love it! Keep up the great work.

Jacob,
Yes, of course it's a joke. Do you tell your mom all the 'funny' jokes you hear? Do you put them on T-shirts for her to see? If I'm just around guys my own age, I think that slogan is pretty funny, in a HS kind of way. But I'm sure not going to walk around with it on to prove to eveyone that I don't have much perspective on what is appropriate or not. Lots of people visit porn sites, but not very many (responsible) people advertise the fact they do. Rule of thumb: if your grandmother won't think it's funny, don't wear it on a shirt.
