I have asked Rick Suhr several times over the past 3 years for an interview specifically about Pole Vault. He has always graciously refused, and he has not given an interview to anyone. I asked him again at a meet in Canada and he has agreed for me to interview him completely uncensored to ask any questions.
This is awesome! I have some great questions and ideas. I will be posting the interview on You Tube.
I am looking for any interesting questions or anything people would like to know about him. I am also not sure if Jenn will be present for the interview yet. We have scheduled it for next week.
I have Suhr's Interview :)

Re: I have Suhr's Interview :)
That's great, I am looking forward to reading it!
It would be interesting to hear Rick's take on coaching Jenn from beginner to world class so quickly, and away from the traditional pole vault "strongholds" of the US. Is he coaching anyone else, or just Jenn? Do you guys ever consider going to vault on the Euro circuit?
It seems likely that Rick's wrestling background has influenced his training/coaching style. Another reason why I believe that pole vaulters should participate in other sports...check out this great video

Rick had a good video out with several vaulters and drills they did. I still have mine and show it to our kids often. You should look it up and get it. Bubba
