Dear Pole Vault "Gurus" and Friends,
What with the Olympic Games in Beijing, and all the excitement of an
election year, I think everyone has been a bit distracted, and frankly,
application numbers are down for our Annual Jeff Truman Pole Vault
Summit-Ship. In the interest of having a solid, competitive field of
applicants, On Track is extending the application deadline for this
important recognition program. Those wishing to nominate a deserving
pole vault coach for this honor will now be able to do so until OCTOBER
31, 2008.
Considering that a lot of folks are tightening their belts for difficult
financial times ahead, this is a great opportunity to send your favorite
up-and-coming pole vault coach FREE OF CHARGE to the Pole Vault Summit
in Reno-Sparks, Nevada... this year, scheduled for January 2 & 3, 2009
(see www.polevaultsummit.com).
PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS OPPORTUNITY SLIP BY!
Please find attached a flyer and an application form to help you help us.

*You Can Help by...*
1) Adding a link to our website onto a site with which you might be
affiliated, directing interested individuals to the available online
application for the
Summit-ship -- *www.ontrackandfield.com* (choose "Main Page") (Feel free
to use the Jeff Truman logo available on our main page for your own
design purposes);
2) Telling those within your coaching networks about the Summit-ship;
3) Nominating a developing coach who you may feel would benefit from
the Summit-ship.
***********************************
Last year, we received so many very impressive nominations from athletes
and coaches promoting a variety of strong candidates that we decided to
award TWO Summit-ships. This year, we hope to receive more great
nominations by the *October 31, 2008* *entry deadline*.
If you would like to share information about the Summit-ship's namesake
with those you may be nominating, we invite you to refer them to learn
more about
Jeff Truman at

We look forward to receiving your pledge of support -- we'd appreciate
knowing how you are willing to help. Thank you in advance for whatever
assistance you are able to provide.
My best regards,
Ron Morris
