BOARD RUNWAYS.........

Unread postby PVJunkie » Mon Jun 16, 2003 11:31 am

Whats the fastest board runway you have ever been on? I am building (almost done with it) a brand new one for the Indy State Fair Vault and think I got the "speed" thing dialed in for an even faster one than the one we have used in the past. Tuned boards like the RCA Dome one and the ones at AR and NE dont count, they got to be semi portable.

UW's Indoor Runway! It is kind of like the ones at Reno... but with a Mondo surface glued/nailed to the top

that runway from the indy state fair was the fastest raised runway i've been on. im not sure if it is the same one but the one in the Butler Warehouse Track, but that one was also fast and it wasnt raised. i hear that Louisivlle has a similar one that is really nice but hasnt beeen used in a meet yet.

i think the boards at the indy sate fair vault has been the fastest i've been on, but that was because it was downhill :)

one word about downhill runways. never take off 3 feet under. brian can attest as to what will happen.

You wouldn't believe the UW's new raised runway surface. Its so freakin fast my step moved back 4 feet and my teammate had to go back 6! I also blew through all my poles. Its basically the fastest track surface you can get. I think its Mondo Super-X.

Yeah, Mondo is pretty quick. The have it at the University of Houston indoor, but it isn't a raised runway.

The runway is DONE..................set up on grass next to a pond (stocked with some bass and catfish so its tough to keep focused). With all a little tired from the set up they all still made it to at LEAST one pole bigger than they normally jump on. One of they guys I have been working with for about 2 years was 12 steppin a 5.20 (gripping down a ways) which is normally his full approach opener pole. Should be interesting to see where I end up on it tomarrow. YES this will be used at the INDY state fair this year (friday aug 15th for those who can make it).
