The pipes keep the poles from getting banged up. I don't even have a bag... just a big ol piece of tubing.

Ask the people who have them, if they have any extra tubing. I got mine for free from a coach who was forced to buy 100 feet of it!

A good place to ask is at any golf course, they usually have some old used pieces laying around.
You may have to clean them out but the price is right.

Good Luck

Pipe

Unread postby jmayesvaultmom » Fri May 30, 2003 7:56 am

We got ours at Lowes (like a lumber yard home center type place) and the shortest was 100 feet for $22....I had a guy cut it there and took 2 sections of it home for 2 bags....no way you can take home the whole 100 feet without a big pickup truck! ...Or I guess you could just drag it behind you!!! :dazed:

flag

Unread postby jmayesvaultmom » Sun Jun 01, 2003 11:48 pm

I never have a flag and pass them all the time...maybe they don't want to bother. But some of the Arkansas girls were taking their poles over to TUlsa to fly them out for a meet and they got a ticket for no flag and NO FLASHING LIGHT!!!! :dazed:

Every state has different rules. I think in WA you don't need a flag unless it is sticking out more than 3 feet from the car. Nothing about blinking lights.

I have only been pulled over once with poles on the car, and that was because a headlight was out. Luckily the cop believed me that it was my mom's car and I didn't know the light was out.

YOu should all see Becca's car when she has her tube of pole on top of it. I bet she could cause an accident with it if she is not careful. hehehe
