5 meter sticks

I need to buy some new poles next year, and I'm curious as to which brand I should go with. My longest is a 16' 160 spirit (23.3 flex) and can only go a few hand grips up from the bottom before going to deep. I'm partial to spirits, but I'm not a big guy, 5'10 150, and slow. Another pole I used was a 15' 175 carbon pacer that put me about at 16', but I couldn't get as much throw as on a lighter spirit (about the same as a 15'165 spirit on two hands lower). Anyone use a 5 meter essx? pacer? spirit? Opinions plz.
