I just stepped out of my comfort zone and invested in some Saucony training shoes. They're very comfortable, look okay, and are streamline enough to do pole runs. I hope it's going to be a good shoe for training.
My Top 5 Training Shoes:
1. New Balance
2. Mizuno
3. Brooks
4. Saucony
5. Adidas?
I usaully stay away from Nike

its all about the Brooks Addiction 6!!! they are so big and heavy that you feel REALLY fast when you put on spikes! that and they keep me from having shin problems for longer than most shoes do! i havent had any shin problems since july. that's a record for me.

Personally, I'm a big Asics fan. Other shoes such as Saucony, and Adidas don't fit my foot right and seem to fall apart way too soon!

New Balance for me...roll bar
I've probably been wearing NB for 8 years or so, stemming from what worked with a growth plate problem that I was having and then just staying with what works.
hmm...maybe this should be made into a poll?

I like mizuno wave creation and asics gel nimbus...expensive, but i guess it's worth it.
I wore my last mizunos for about 2 years
...needless to say, they were pretty beat up

Professionals in the industry say to change your shoes every 400 miles...including walking. For me, I just made sure that each semester I bought a new pair. Cushioning is king in this sport: prevents shin splints and other injuries.

I have used the Nike Impax Run for the past year or so and I liked them so much I wore them till they about fell apart. Now I just recieved in the mail the new Nike Impax Run 2, It was a pretty exciting experience. Great shoe that I recommend to everyone.
