NEW SPIKES!
i'm doing tripple and long jump now along w/ my 4x1 and pole vault so my spikes are in a pretty sorry state right now. i have finished out my asics by making holes in the bottomes lol and the other asics give me blisters. i really really need a pair of spikes that will keep THAT DARN SAND OUT OF MY SPIKES AND MY SOCKS! oh yeah, and the sand makes sand stains on my socks that don't come out. if anybody has a suggestion as to what spikes would be good for multi events (and keep sand out) i would greatly appreciate it....as long as they don't cost a freakin 100 bucks...i'm not rich lol.

Shoes
If you will look at Eastbay.com you can probably find event specific shoes on sale...we usually have...especially girls buying the small guys' sizes...like 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6......If you find them on sale, then you can buy a pair of maybe LJ/PV or TJ/PV shoes and then maybe some sprint spikes for running events!
That's Jodie!!
A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....
Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

the adidas has a sock over the shoe that keeps sand out, but i dont think they are good for the 4x1. it seemd like u'd need two purrs ("i need two purrs" lol). Not Air force ones though. U need heel support for the TJ, but u dont want that unneeded wieght in the vault or 4x1. My suggestion if u can only buy one shoe. Try the Nike Zoom Rivals or the Nike LJ spikes. I vault in the LJ and i can run sprints in them also.

One shoe - bang for the buck - Eastbay - Model 41676005 - Puma - it is called a mid distance spike - I use them in practice for hurdling, intervals, have long jumped and PV in them - comfortable and durable - PS - the No. 1 male vaulter in the world right now - Tim Lobinger wears them - I do have numerous LJ, HJ, Sprint, mid-distance, PV/TJ shoes - but if I had to do a deca with one set of spikes - those would be the ones I have that I would chose - plus I believe they are now going for 29.99 - otherwise try on-line at Dick Pond and look for closeouts
Plant like crap sometimes ok most times
