My 2 cents worth!
OK this may cost a Nickel now Inflation!!! :star:

ABOUT FLEX NUMBERS AND MOVING TO THE NEXT LENGTH POLE USING FLEX NUMBERS

Warning!!!!
This method is only to be used by vaulters weighing less than the weight rating of the longer length pole, and to be use only for the same brand pole, and also if you are at jumping at or above their handgrip---------- ONLY!!!

If you are not doing any of these three things above read no further!

It will not make sense to you and will not work! You need to step back and work on the fundamentals of clearing over your handhold first before going to this next level!!!
For advanced vaulters clearing over their handholds on poles rate 5-15 lbs over their weight only!
This is only a rule of thumb and not accurate, it is only close and does not work between brands of poles and not on all brand poles.
It is not a method to determine the size of a pole from one brand to another. It is only to be used within the same brand!!!! Some companies rate their 13’6â€Â

Hey Bruce,

It's great that finally a pole manufacturer has come out and explained the logic they use regarding flex numbers, it has always been a bit of a black art in relation to some other manufacturers.
