Getting a new pole tomorrow!
I got to the top of my 12' `140 mystic today and was vaulting well at that hold. Tomorrow my coach says i can get out the 135 13' Spirit (I somehow lost 2.5 pounds) and start on that. I worked with the mystic today so I'd have something to fall back on if i can't handle the spirit. Any tips for the transition?

Keep your grip at the same height... so if you were gripping 11'9" on the Mystic, grip 11'9" on the Spirit.
The biggest mistake beginners (don't know if you are a beginner or not) make is saying, "I was gripping 3" from the top of this pole, so I should be able to grip 3" from the top of this (longer) pole."

Def as rainbow put it.... but if your still struggling even at that grip or slighty lower, try asking your coach to stand in on a jump or two to build your confidence.
remember your moving up poles because you neeed to with your currentform.... don't change anything in your jump, and congrats moving up is always exciting!
