I don't know if anyone can help with this but my college wont allow us to bolt down our standard holders because where we practice is at the end of the 55 straightaway on our indoor track. Because of this we can't use a bungee and its really starting to annoy the hell out of me. Does anyone know any means of keeping the standards fastented without bolts?

take some heavy dumbells or weight plates and put them down on the standards
works well trust me i land on the bungee alot and they rarely fall

sandbags work well too, and don't hurt as much when you land on them

You could have people stand on the bases.
Also make sure you have a pretty loose bungee.

I'd bolt them to thick plywood that'll slide under the pit a couple of feet.

We used about 4 foot lengths of 2 by 12 lumber and had these boards mostly sticking under our mats (we would have used plywood but we allready had these boards) . This has worked good.. The only problem is that they ocassionaly get moved so we had to establish a "Zero" line in rerference to the box and check this location every few days.
