Hey everyone. I want to know what types of poles you high schoolers use/used. And what the measurments are of that pole. I know that sounds dirty. I use mainly 14' UCS anywhere around 170lbs. - 185lbs.

OK that is better Dave :P

The biggest pole I used in high school was an 11'140 and a 12'120 during the season my senior year, and I used a 12'140 that summer. I cleared 9'9" on the 11' pole! :)

I have to go w/ Pacers. They last FOREVER and have a great feel to them. I use an older 120lbs. 13'6 pacer and it works great!!!! Has anyone ever used a NORDIC Pole?? they seem really cool and i've always wanted to try one out!

Oh yeah....i Placed 1st in my county, second in my region and 7th in my state with this pole my freshman year(last year!). (that's prob. why i like pacer poles so much:), they work well for me).

I've never actually used one. I've heard pretty good things about them though. There is a guy in Salem OR that is a dealer for them, so I always see a lot when I go down there for the Street Vault. Of course I have also seen 2 or 3 of them break at that same meet... but that doesn't mean anything :P

first of all, i use ucs/spirit, and only spirit....lol, tried to use some pacers, but they react slow once you get them bent it seems....anyway, the last two poles i was on this year were a 15' 185 (15.0 flex) and a 15' 7" 185 holding down....think thats all i was going to say

Pacer poles are better because they are wrapped longitudinally along the anterior axillary line

I am beginning my senior year in high school, and my biggest pole I've jumped on is my 12' 130. I weighed 112 when in season when I used this pole, and that's the pole I got my pr of 10'6" on. It's a skypole. There's one meet where I tried going to a 13'120 Spirit, and I just kept stalling out on it. So, when season starts again, or when it comes time for the summit, if Istart blowing through that 12'130, than my coach is thinking about getting me a 13' 115 Spirit.

My last year of comp in hs was my junior year. I too am a UCS only kind of guy, but i do have to admit that i'd like to try a pacer carbon some time. Anyways, my two biggest poles were a 15' 185 and a 15-7'' 175.
