new vs. old nikes

is there any difference between the orginal Nike Zoom PV spikes and the new Nike Zoon PV 2s? i jumped with a pair of PV2s this year and i loved it but i tore them up really bad and i needed a new pair so i just ordered a pair of the orginal PVs because i got a deal on them.they look virtually identical in build and the only difference i can tell is the color.

also for future buying what type of PV/jump specific shoe do yall think is best. I know many people argue they make no difference but i know some who swear buy them. i was just wondering if there is a clear favorite type that vaulters use
