What pole?

What pole?
Hey everyone. I want to know what types of poles you people out there use. And what the measurments are of that pole. I know that sounds dirty. I use mainly 14' UCS anywhere around 170lbs. - 185lbs.

I love the site Becca , Joining the polevault.mach.org and this forum is an increadible idea!! Wait till my wife finds out I have another pole vault forum to spend hours on .
I started laughing when I think of the biggest poles I've ever been on and what I use now. As Dick Henry always points out to me " you know you are getting old when every thing you say begins with... I used to"
Well,
I used to jump on 15' 195 or 15'9" 190 pacer carbons back when I wieghed 176#
Now here is the funny/sad part, now I wiegh 190 and jump on 15' 175lb pacer carbon
alas at least I'm still jumping

Poles
The BIGGEST pole I have ever been on was a 13'6 165 Pacer, from a 7 step at Canada Games. I have only ever jumped on Pacer Poles...so I chose them as my favourite type of pole to jump on.
Why not choose the road less travelled ?
EssxSport poles
Just a note to let everyone out there know some pole info.
Earl Bell, with the help of EssxSport has designed his own line of vaulting poles. We have been jumping on some of the prototypes and now some of the production models here at Bell Athletics for about 2 years now. They are some of the best poles I have seen in a long time, made to Earl's specs, at the new factory in Ca. Earl is currently working on converting his famous "wall of poles" to all Essx poles, which is a slow process because we keep selling out of the popular sizes before we can get them on the wall. Myself, or Earl, would be more than happy to answer any and all questions about these poles, or any other EssxSport, or Bell Athletics products. Either e-mail to info@bellathletics.com or call us at 1-800-753-7332.

Essex are top of the line!
thank you becca! this is matt merritt for all who are wondering. i have used essex poles and i believe they are top of the line. The poles are wrapped specifically so that the sail piece is higher allowing the vaulter to be in better position at the takeoff. i highly recomend them to any vaulter.

To start with.....take a week or so and go read the Pacer vs. Spirt debate.
Now to answer your question, I currently jump on a series of 4.60 (15') Carbon FX's from 17.1 (170lbs) to 15.4 flex (185lbs). Back in the day (can I talk about the 80's???) I was on a 4.90 (16') series from 20.0 to 18.2 flex. Cant remember the weight ratings but I could rattle off the whole series in order of flex.
