Safety Fixes for Polevault or High Jump

This past year I saw improvised safety pads around the PV area during the MO state meet and I thought I'd pass it along as an idea to consider.

The college had made very attractive and useful pit padding by wrapping astroturf around water-resistant foam, like the stuff boat life preservers are made from, or the white sheet packing material.

It's light, cheap, the astroturf can come in many colors (usualy green or blue is common), and it doesn't really care if you stom on it with spikes.

Yet it pads an area well, is easy to wash, and is relatively light weight and stackable.

On a similar note, the DOW 3" blue rigid insulation foam that comes in 4'X10" sheets makes a great lift for PV or HJ pads to get them off the ground and they don't hold water or rodents. No more wooden skids!
