ucs poles identification marks

ucs poles identification marks

our school has several old ucs poles in inventory. I need some help in trying to decifer the code that is engraved on these poles. I am looking for date of mfg. and pole flex information. Thank You

the numbers on one of these poles reads:

400/61
13'-135-165
96-22.4-4-15

can anyone tell me what the meaning of all of these numbers are????

I can tell you some of it...haha

13' - length of the pole...duh...haha

135-165 - relative weight range, I believe...

22.4 - flex number

the 400 would be the exact length- 4.00 meters- and it was made on 4-15-96

400/61 = 4.00 meter length pole, rated for 61 kilos or so
13' long, 135 pounds
made 4-15-96
flex 22.4

the 15 might not be a day it might be a mandrel number!!!!
