I named my 13'6'' USC/Spirit Artemis. I just thought it fit.

We have this big, black pole, thats like 15' maybe even 16' long, and it weighs like 50 pounds (no joke) its not used to vault, but to teach proper running form. All the new kids have to do pole runs with it the first few weeks. It's excruciatingly painful, and sometimes kids quit from doing them so much. We just call it The Black Pole...or the Newb Pole.
BTW, one of our football players, who weighs around 250, actually cleared 7' with it.
I never met a pole I didn't like.

We used to nickname our poles all the time when I jumped in H.S... since I started coaching nobody has really taken the liberty to name their pole. However, we do have one pole that nobody uses (I used to straight pole with it when I had no other option) and it's had a nickname that's stuck for a few years. It's a 14' 195 Pacer dubbed "The Homewrecker." I wouldn't let anybody take a full jump on the pole since there's a nasty spike mark about 1ft from the top of it.
