Carbon Catapoles are not made anymore

Unread postby Bruce Caldwell » Mon Oct 20, 2003 6:02 pm

As I sat and thought about it for a moment we did have some test Carbons in 1993-94. I spoke to Paul Richards who made the Catapoles for us at that time and he said we had some faux carbons and some real carbons made. SO I will stand corrected and admit that as I get older I forget sometimes especially about things not under my control any more.:D :D :D

The faux ones had carbon in the resin but not the glass. Some larger ones were in fact carbon. Also there were some Ez-flex poles that had the same carbon in the resin not in the glass.
(They Were Black)

Yes I was reminded that there were twisters and many poles that were very safe but were very stiff in the top of the pole and would bent low.

I would have to say that the reason they are not still made as they were not accepted very well.

I contacted the PORTaPIT people and The Catapoles I saw on the shelf looked very good. Not sure who made them for them.

SO They are still selling the CATAPOLE in sizes 14'6" on down and have a few longer ones that they are closing out at really great prices.
So if you need a long pole and have very little bucks go to www.portapit.com and see what you get.
I saw a few 15'9" and 16' and even some of the yellow glass ones that were really good poles for 149.00 and 179.00
I love the PV, it is in my DNA
